The Kind Release New Single “Stand Two” Ahead of Debut Album

Gothenburg-based post/indie-rock band The Kind have released their new single “Stand Two”. The track is out now on all major streaming platforms, arriving September 5. It is the second single from their upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be released in February 2026 through Gothenburg label Orissa.

The single follows their debut “Take Time”. Unlike the first release, “Stand Two” feels more focused and condensed. With this track, The Kind deliver an atmospheric soundscape that gives listeners a deeper look into the style of their debut record. The official music video will premiere on September 12, adding a visual layer to the story.

A Sonic Journey Between Fragility and Grandeur

The Kind draw inspiration from DIIV, Bon Iver, and The National. As a result, their music moves easily between fragility and grandeur. “Stand Two” explores the self-destructive and over-analytical state of mind that can appear after a breakup. This theme flows through several songs on the album, creating emotional depth.

Because of this approach, the new single balances melancholy with rich sound design. It stands as a strong preview of what fans can expect from the band’s debut.

Upcoming Tour in Sweden and Northern Europe

Along with the release of “Stand Two”, The Kind are preparing for their winter tour. The shows will take place in Sweden and across Northern Europe. Tour dates and venues will be announced soon, but fans can already look forward to concerts that bring the same intensity and atmosphere as their recordings.
