Rodeo Terrorists have released “Saltire (Tartan Army),” a bold new Scottish football anthem that celebrates one of the game’s most recognisable supporter groups. The single, released on 27th March 2026, is designed to capture the fun, noise and loyalty associated with Scotland’s travelling fans.
The track was created by Richard, a 55-year-old English IT manager whose relationship with Scotland is personal and long-lasting. Having studied in the country, he built a strong affection for Scotland and its culture, making the song both a humorous outsider’s salute and a genuine tribute.
The music leans into that sense of celebration. Celtic-style melodies sit alongside electronic production and pop-rock energy, giving “Saltire (Tartan Army)” a bright, chant-ready sound. Its mix of folk influence and football anthem confidence recalls the spirit of The Waterboys and New Order’s “World In Motion.”
While the song is full of fun, its purpose reaches beyond matchday excitement. Richard wants the release to help raise awareness and funds for MND Scotland after losing a close friend to Motor Neurone Disease, turning the anthem into both a celebration and a tribute.
