Shyfrin Alliance Set to Release Second Album with Lead Single “Buddha Blues”
Shyfrin Alliance, the innovative musical project helmed by Eduard Shyfrin, is poised to captivate audiences once again with their upcoming album “In The Shadow of Time,” set for release on April 4, 2025. Leading the charge is their new single, “Buddha Blues,” a compelling country-blues track that blends intricate guitar melodies, piano, and hammond organ with a gospel-infused chorus.
Eduard Shyfrin, an award-winning author, businessman, and scientist, founded Shyfrin Alliance and distinguished himself with a unique musical vision. Their debut album, “Upside Down Blues,” released in 2024, showcased a potent mix of rock, blues, and romantic balladry, focusing on themes of unconditional love and antiwar sentiment. The album resonated widely, gaining airplay across the US, UK, France, and Germany, and amassing nearly half a million streams on Spotify.
“Buddha Blues” serves as a microcosm of the forthcoming album’s exploration of profound themes, especially time—a subject directly influenced by Shyfrin’s scholarly work in Kabbalah and quantum physics. His book, “From Infinity to Man: The Fundamental Ideas of Kabbalah Within the Framework of Information Theory and Quantum Physics,” delves into these complex topics, shaping his approach to music and lyricism.
Eduard explains the unique focus of “In The Shadow of Time”: “Time is a challenging concept; it’s elusive and undefined. This album is an exploration, with each song dissecting different facets of time. It’s not something you find often in music.”
The inspiration for “Buddha Blues” struck Eduard during a summer when a popular Miley Cyrus song was ubiquitous. Disenchanted with what he saw as shallow pop music, he sought to create a blues track with deeper philosophical meaning in just two minutes. The result was “Buddha Blues,” a song praised by family for its thoughtful approach to the idea of time as a healer.
Eduard elaborates on the song’s message: “Life is about continuing forward, embracing your journey without undue worry or bitterness—an echo of Buddhist principles. It’s not about rejecting all desires, but understanding and evolving past misguided ones.”
Shyfrin Alliance represents a return to Eduard’s early love of music. Trained in classical piano in Ukraine, he initially ventured into metallurgy and business. A personal crisis redirected his path, leading him to explore Kabbalah and science profoundly. This period of transformation eventually brought Eduard back to music, fueling the creation of Shyfrin Alliance and its innovative, meaningful sound.
