Raven Records: New alcohol-free bar for heavy metal fans opens up in Camden Town
Raven Records, the world’s first heavy metal alcohol-free bar, has recently opened in Camden Town.
The innovative space, situated just 100 metres from Camden Town Station, is a new record shop, coffee shop, and alcohol-free bar that provides heavy metal fans who are either doing dry January or have given up alcohol for good, the perfect place to meet family and friends.
As well as serving alcohol free drinks and coffee, they also sell heavy metal inspired coffee and vinyl from a vast spectrum of heavy metal genres.
Raven Records goes above and beyond in meeting the demands of the growing percentage of the population who do not consume alcohol as it is the only alternative bar in London that doesn’t serve alcohol at all, only stocking 0.0% drinks and not 0.5%, with some products also being halal certified.
They offer a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks including gin, vodka, tequila, and seven(!) different types of whiskey. They also serve a whole range of 0.0% beer and cider including products from Guinness, and Stella and they even have Heineken 0% on draft.

Additionally, the bar features Liquid Death products, CBD-infused beverages, and mood-enhancing drinks from brands such as Trip, Goodrays, and Peak.
As well as being a bar, coffee shop, and record shop, Raven Records also provides a space for recovery meetings and will be a community hub for the metal and alternative communities.
The idea for this new bar came from owners Ben and Chloe, who were driven by their desire to create an alternative space for people to socialise in an environment that is not solely focused on the consumption of alcohol.
They wanted to address the growing issue that people don’t necessarily want to drink alcohol but still want to enjoy socialising.
Both Ben and Chloe have been involved in the music scene for a long time with Chloe being a professional DJ in the 2000s.
Ben is 16 years sober and counting after recovering from his alcohol addiction. Ben also runs a secular twelve-step programme for those recovering from addiction.
So, if you are looking for somewhere to hang out this Dry January, or are after an alcohol-free start to a big night out, head down to 24 Camden Road, London NW1 9DP and it is open Thursday to Monday 12pm to 8pm.
All vinyl can be purchased online through the Raven Records website: www.ravenrecordshop.com
